Meet Gale the Library Bear
The Bear Who Feared Running
Gale lives among humans and loves spending time at the library. When a group of kids invites him to run one afternoon, something inside him hesitates. Gale has carried a fear of running for a long time — but he’s never quite understood why.
Inside the library, a story about running pulls him in, and Gale suddenly finds himself at the starting line of a race. With each new step, he learns what bravery can look and feel like, giving children a gentle way to explore their own emotions and fears.
This heartfelt picture book is perfect for bedtime reading, classrooms, and any moment when children need encouragement to try something challenging.

Why We Wrote This Book
Gale the Library Bear was created from a shared love of stories, curiosity, and movement. As a father and daughter, writing this book together gave us the opportunity to create something meaningful that could be experienced across generations.
We wanted to write a story that acknowledges fear without letting it define a child. Gale’s journey is about learning to move forward, even when something feels hard, unfamiliar, or confusing. Our hope is that families, educators, and caregivers can use Gale’s story as a gentle starting point for conversations about courage, confidence, and growth.
